Intermediate Phase Education refers to the stage of formal schooling that follows fundamental learning. It builds on the basic knowledge and skills learners developed during the Foundation Phase and prepares them for more advanced learning in the Senior Phase.
During this phase, learners develop their understanding of subjects such as Mathematics, Languages, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and other areas of learning. They are encouraged to think critically, solve problems, communicate effectively and apply their knowledge to different situations.
The Intermediate Phase is also an important period for learners’ social and emotional development. Learners become more independent, develop stronger relationships with their peers and begin to take greater responsibility for their learning and behavior. We play an important role in providing guidance, encouragement and support.
