High School Education prepares learners for further education, training, employment, and responsible participation in society.
During high school, learners are exposed to more specialised subjects and develop advanced knowledge and skills. They are encouraged to think critically, conduct research, solve complex problems, communicate effectively and apply their knowledge to real-life situations. Learners also develop important life skills, decision-making abilities and greater independence.
High school education plays an important role in preparing learners for their future careers and further studies. We support learners by providing academic guidance, encouraging personal development, and helping them identify their interests, strengths and potential career pathways. The final years of high school are particularly important as learners prepare for the National Senior Certificate and opportunities beyond school.
Overall, high school education equips learners with the academic knowledge, practical skills, values and confidence needed to pursue further studies, enter the workplace and contribute positively to their communities.
